Was anyone at Revolution in Waterloo this past saturday? I could hear what sounded like Drum & Bass coming from the Purple Room...
When I went to check it out, I was stopped by a bouncer who asked if I bought a wristband? They cost $20, and you could buy them at the front door. The bouncer told me it was a special event, yet couldnt tell me anything about it.
I thought this was ridiculous that they charged $20 to go in this tiny room, when you could stand just outside of it, and hear the same tunes. I've never seen this at Rev before, was anyone there? Or even know what DJ was spinning? :conf: :conf: |

It was some thingy with DJ Bam Bam or such and such.
A special event, with a much much hyped venue that wasn't announced until Friday, and it ended up being the (laffo) Purple Room. |

I was there...
The event was put on by TAM. They brought in BAM BAM, Kamikaze, Jace and Dizmoe. It was a shock that they held this event in the Purple Room. and actually charged ticket prices to get in... but it was really done well and I had a blast. The style was Booty House, but Jace and Dizmoe finished it off with sweet ass Techno...
It was an absolutely amazing little party. Great tunes and people all around. Intimate little event... but they allowed everyone in there at about 1:30, regardless of whether or not yu had a ticket. |

i was there, my ban is lifted finally.
im not biggest fan of booty house but it was ok cause i was smashed :)
lots of people, lots of girls so i would say it was much better than party inside of rev, better vibe |

Rev on saturdays has definitely gotten better.. I remember going there some saturdays to find it completely empty.
It was packed this weekend. We even had tickets to wait to get into Flying Dog, but when our #'s were called, it was totally empty? Maybe it has something to do with the recent renovations, its not such a craphole compared to before. |
