farken hell, pretty soon sound itself will be dead, and we'll all be walking around with big earplugs made from the solidified urine of a pregnant woman, and everyone will be walking around smelling like a toilet, is that really what you want?

electro ownz all your base!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's good electro and there's bad electro. Or, to put it another way, there's good electro and then there's this fairly cheesy electro-house crap that's become fairly popular over the past few months. Which is not to say that all of it is bad (guys like Tiefschwartz, DJ Dan, DJ Hell and Tiga play a lot of stuff that could be classified as "good" electro-house) but a much of it is.

If you want electro as it should be, anyway, check out the Blackstrobe EM from last year, or at least one of their recent sets. ing mind-blowing.

electro house is owning every one of my senses at this point in time, but i would hardly say that prog and trance are dead. And on this note i shall say F*** genres, if it sounds good and fits in your set then dont set your limits, your only limiting your originality and ability to create a different sound.

Music has NO rules and thats the best part about it! werd !

that said, i like nic fanciulli and his skylark productions and that dude scumfrog from miami...

Tribal has had it's day. It's good music, and I still love it, but there's very little new sounds coming from tribal genres these days.

And you guys are on the right track, electro sounds are the way to go right now, people like fanciulli, desyn masiello, and luke fair are pushing those new sounds forward.

And the scumfrog is dutch, however, he lives in NYC, unless he moved last year and I was unaware of it. He should move to Toronto tho, he's got a huge following there, and packs even the sketchiest joints when he plays.
