Change UK forum to a UK and Ireland forum?

| Since the celtic forum won't work how about changing the UK forum to a UK and Ireland forum. |

| dude...there's nothing stopping you from posting in there. just because it doesn't have the 'ireland' title on it doesn't mean you can't post stuff. i mean ireland is a part of it so it is kinda your forum too. |

You're right that there's nothing to stop him posting in there. We wont bite (unless he asks nicely).
However what with the political situation being the way it is at the moment (and has been for a long, long time), it should really be United Kingdom & Eire shouldn't it? Or should it be UK & Ireland? Sorry I'm actually pretty ashamed that I don't know, what with being English and that. I should watch the news more :) |

Well at the mo i think it is the uk consists of scotland, wales, england and northern ireland. Not Eire. Going on GBR and the olympics. But i am sure we wont mind if a few irish come in, we will happily talk about your guiness, and a pub on each corner. I have been there, it is a brilliant place. Went to cork. And you have proper roads, where england have dust tracks, and huge car parks (M25).
So i know some people dont want to be part of the UK, but i dont think there would b enough peeps for a seperate Eire one.
So feel free to come to the UK forum. We are just a tiny bit sensible. Did i say sensible, i mean totally mad.

Yep that's right. So it should be called UK & Eire yeah? So as to include those in Ireland not classed as under the United Kingdom. It's all very confusing :conf: :conf: :conf:
To be honest if we're going to be accurate Swamper should just rename it The Food Fight Forum and be done with it :D :) :p |

Ireland is not part of the UK and an Irishmen wouldn't be too pleased if you said that to him! |

northern Ireland is a part of UK i think, but not Ireland itself...
what do i know, what's the deal anyways?????? damn politics!!! why cant we all just get along!!!!!!!!!

Yeah but it's not really fair to say to the "just post in the UK section" based upon the fact they're nearby. When they're not actually part of the UK. What if the Canadians were told to post in the US forum coz they share a border. Anyway there's been so much conflict in the UK and Ireland over this matter for such a long time. I think a lot of people elsewhere in the world don't realise the full extent of the situation over here (wasn't directed at anybody in particular btw).
But obviously doesn't affect me what it's called anyway, just that if anybody did have serious issue's posting in a UK forum then I think it's understandable. |
