Great British attitude of never giving up!!! Steven Gerrard and Jamie Charagher were absolutely brilliant!!!
Really happy for them, because i bet Milan thought the game was over. There will never EVER be a final as entertaining as this ever again. Amazing result compared to the fact that Milan were playing some of the best football that most of us have ever seen! |

One of the greatest games I have ever seen. Hats off to Gerrard. Man of the Match, if not the tournament IMO. And Dudek's unorthodox penalty stopping was brilliant, except I did see him come off his line for some of the PKs.
But really, I don't think any team in the world could come back after a MILAN 3-0 first half thrashing (milan dominated) and bring their moral back up to tie it up and eventually win it. I must say, Liverpool were getting tired and were the less fit of the two teams, but they showed spirit and showed that team work is what counts most.
It seems like Ancelloti won the tactical battle for the first half. In fact he even said a goal in the first three minutes would be key. But Rafa stepped up his tactical approach totaly redoxed out Ancelloti's second half plan. If you ask me, this game was won on the bench by Liverpools tactical genius. Rafa has proved against Juve, Chelsea and now Milan that he is an incredible football mastermind. He made up well for his mistake in the first half.
Congrats to all you Liverpool fans. (for the record, I'm a Juventus fan). |
