How many movies do they want to f**k up?

Well pplz, these days there arent too many ideas for original movies floating around. -So what do they do? They start ing up great movies by making ty sequels to them with character changes. Why the would they want to ruin perfectly good movies?

Here are some examples:

The Ring 2: They shouldnt have bothered.

The Mask 2: Doesnt even have Jim Carey. Looks demented.

XXX 2 - The Next level: Do I have to explain?

Species 3: 1 was good, 2 was okay... even the cover of 3 looks pathetic.

so where is the continuity in all these movies. and as for movies like species 3... they're just ing up their original without knowing it.

It feels weird owning an original but then theres a sequel but you don't want to get it because it sucks so much.

P.S

Not all of the above have character changes.

I thought Ring 2 was pretty decent. Original XXX a load of e anyway. Oh, and you forgot "Dumb and Dumberer". How could they?! :(

Don't forget Next Friday and Friday After Next... they ruined a classic.
Oh, and Blade II and III.

You eventually learn its a business. Most don't care about a movie's artistic merits they just want it to make money, so when you find a movie on a rare occasion that does cherish it.

Movies based on books, tv series or sequels are always popular because they come with a fan base that will see the movie no matter what the quality. It guarantees they'll make their money back and if its a franchise movie they're sure to turn a profit on the merchandise and video release. Case in point next star wars installation.

In addition sequels are easy to make, charcters are already established, you just need to modify the plot a little from the original and bingo you got a movie. People also will go see crap so why kill yourself coming up with a good movie?

-Star Wars Episode 1 (Lucas got older & his ideas became rotten)

-Cat Woman (Vomit. ................Vomits more)

i have never seen starship troopers 2, but i don't see how it could be any worse than starship troopers 1.

Starship Troopers 1 had a budget around $150 million
Starship Troopers 2 budget was $13 million including small parasite bugs that can take over and control a human body when ingested. :nervous:
