Most if not all music is supposed to invoke some sort of emotional response in us. Trance even more so than others.

As I keep getting more into house music (damn you Darren!), I still listen to my trance/lowkey music at night. Trance is truly a beautiful music in that it can take you away to another world - the Blackout (you know the one) contains one of the most memorable evening in existence highlighted by trance, Portishead, Tori Amos, etc. |

I was just driving home, listening to the Ferry Corsten Essential Mix (2004), and one of my favorite tracks came on Ferry Corsten vs. The Thrillseekers - Sublime. That song always makes me sad...I don't know why. To me it just seems like there's a lot of emotion in the song. Maybe it's just b/c I'm a really emotional person. But the song, to me, sounds really soft, but intense...and sad. There are other songs too that I think are just so uplifting...and others that are just plain down and dirty. I think that so many emotions can be brought out in EDM.

Girl I Second that !!! i've been listening to his set from ARia mtl march 15th, 2005 and that's on there man it just puts tears in my eyes! :( but i love it!!
