Weren't all these theories superceded by my unpublished grand unification theory?
Dark Oracle
Personally, I think string theory ties it all together...but that's just me...meh...
November
String Theory make things more intresting somehow
Smeagol
I damn hope it's strings! Otherwise my thesis work is completely in vain...:nervous:

I don't know if you're aware (you probable are, or it would be a funny coincidence) of it but i can fill in anyway:

There actually is something called grand unified theories, GUT (unifying electromagnetism, weak force and strong force in one) and experimental data indicates that there would be some sort of GUT.
BUT:
String theory contains GUTs, unifying electromagnetism, weak force, strong force AND gravity.

SHORT VERSION:
grand unified theories are cool, but string theory wins.
The_G0dfather
couldnt find the none of the above option :conf:

hmm, I suspect your thesis contains 26 dimensions? You don't seem like a 10 or 11 kind of person.

aw hell. Seems I've been out of the loop. is there a NOVA episode on grand unification theory?:D

DjSimonB
I say String Theory because it makes relativity and quantum theory more compatible with each other, so it beats them. Or something.
Sunsnail
I watched a show on string theory last night.
