This is such crap. It's sad that we live in a society so deeply uninformed. Always there is a scapegoat for solving 'problems' of trivialities and enjoyments of life. I hate how so much effort is made by our 'helpful' government to jump right on this issue, while so many other, untouched, yet needy issues they are. Just a quick easy fix to feed the stupid masses.

I just called into CFRB 1010 and got on the air to complain about this and the new entertainment district by-laws.

Andrew Crystal (the host) supported what I was saying (that the by-laws and unreasonable enforcement by the city was unreasonable). I spoke about the restriction of new business within the entertainment district and the bullying of the docks.
RobbyG.
I read that you can't go outside the Docks after 1:30 am & nobody allowed IN the club after 3:30am:eyespop:...I'm also really pissed that a small & elite group of people who live on land that WE subsidize, can dictate now the majority should live...THAT is total crap:mad: ...Its too bad that they didn't get evicted when they did...HELLO you Island heads....you live next to a BIG CITY:whip: :whip:

it is stupid.

Closing a busy club at 3am... 1000+ people probably still quite intoxicated and letting them loose on the streets? That's where all your property damage and criminal charges come from: partiers with nowhere left to go.

Keep the clubs open till morning and deal with the noise. Everyone in the city deals with city noise at night. It's a fact of city life. Just deal with the noise, keep the clubbers inside, and everyone goes home in the morning.

The islanders need to realize where they live. On a body of water next to a major city. Since sound carries for miles on water they should not be surprised that they hear sounds coming from the city they live next to.

I wish people started to realize where they live instead of forcing their cul de sac suburban ideals on everyone else. There are plenty of places to go for peace and quiet without having to move to areas that are well known for large public gatherings such as the island or the entertainment district that inevitably create noise.

Thats exactly it. Common sense. Look at the area you wanna live in... you cant n move there or live there adn expect to change for you. thats balls.

i cant believe we'd bend over backwards for such a riddiculous reason! :whip: :whip:

I have unconfirmed sources tell me that door security personal at clubs are going to have to go through a special certification or something like that, issued from the city soon.

Not sure how soon that is, but it can't be a bad thing.
