Kingdom of Heaven screening review

Mr. Furious
Fans of Gladiator will love this movie.

Orlando Blooms character wasn't quite was heroic as Maximus from Gladiator, but he does a pretty good job of redeeming himself of the cowardice he left behind after Troy.

The scenes are bigger, bloodier, and with more grandeur.

The beginning is a little slow, but delivers a nice segue for the climactic ending, while it may have been a tad overwrought.

Those of you that don't fare well with violence might find the amount in this movie a little more excessive than Gladiator. Lots of arrows in the eye and people getting their skulls split open by swords.

Considering I loved Alexander and everyone else hated it, I think I'll love this movie :D:D

I read Ebert's review at www.suntimes.com/ebert and he actually says the film tries to stay neutral. Apparently, it's more about a soldier's honour rather than getting too much into who was right or wrong during the Crusades. But it will no doubt spark controversy. I don't know much about this period of history except the military side of things but I probably shouldn't expect a history lesson. It's kinda just filler until Star Wars anyway.;)

Def going to see it either tonight or tomorrow night..
I wasnt a big fan of alexander it was just way too slow for me...

Sweet.
I was hoping Orlando wasn't going look like a goof as a hero.
(Even though he was awesome as Legolas).

I think I'll make it to this one...:toocool:
