My tounge
I LOVED it, and then i was having a burger at 3:30 am, hammered after $1.50 drinks at tonic (at sizzlers on yonge and college - greasiest but best burger ever) and crakced a tooth in half - no more tounge ring - dental bill quite high...
I took it out, and changed my mind half an hour later and tried to put it back in, but it had healed!!! tounges grow quickly ;) !!! |

They do heal quickly.
Should have changed it to an acrylic ball. Wont be cracking your teeth then. Plus, I simply hate that feel of metal against my teeth (since I play with mine a lot).

Okay okay i'm finally postin in here.. I've got 8 piercings, 3 in each lobe, 1 in right cartiledge, and my nose.
... i WANT: Tragus, another left lobe and i'd love that bar thing that goes across the upper part of your ear, but my ears don't fold over like everyone else's, so i can't do it. *shrug* |

Actually, had this happen to me too... took it out to measure the length or my bar, whent back to work 1 hour later and put it back in then.
ONLY IT HAD REALLY STARTED TO HEAL OVER.
I couldn't force my acrylic bar through the hole in my tongue. I had to get my metal bar out and literally FORCE PUSH it through the hole in my tongue, bottom to top. That werked, but I clearly ripped through tissue that was reforming over the hole. It hurt a bit and it wasn't easy. I was bleeding afterwards too. (Funny, since I didn't bleed AT ALL when I got it done.)
Oh well, I'd do just about anything for my tongue ring. Love that pierce to the ends of heaven and hell and back. I'm strongly debating soon taking it out for a month so it can heal over sufficiently that I can get it re-pierced in almost the exact same spot, just over a tad bit (a mm or two) to the right. The bottom hole is lined up perfectly, so only would have to punch through a new hole in the top of my tongue.
God bless tongue rings, I LOVE THEM! :p

current peircings are limited to navel. (no,I'm not gay)
might end up with a one too just under the head. I thought it would be cool to get a vibrating bar put in there for the ladies. ;)
But they have to be taken out for fights every couple of months so I have a feeling I'm done with peircings where I am and would be affraid of the posibility of the one going wrong. I love body art but am a big fan of personally getting stuff done that can be taken out easily or covered up in a work/client/family setting. Even if I'm cool with them I understand some people aren't and don't feel I need to subject them to being uncomfortable.
My girlfriend use to have three titanium surface bars across for forearm for about 6 years but just took them out about 5 months ago. These were by far the coolest (yet most un-practicle) peircings I'd ever seen. It took me about 4 months to learn not grab her left wrist while she had them in. |
