Sorted

Some review:

The clubbing scene has given rise to a few movies recently. DVD review.

A non-clubber investigating the death of his brother gets enticed into the rave scene and its drugs.

Strange movie. Wasn't good but due to an interesting plot became watchable. Full of tired hard-trance anthems. Some good scenes: the rave in the pub, drugged Rhys getting raped (when will a movie show a woman getting arrested for raping a man?), the opening credits scene, the spectacular moving clouds in many outdoor scenes. But overall the movie was just full of jerks (with a bad taste in music). By the end of the movie I had lost interest. However, if you want to see Jason Donovan dressed as Wonderwoman then "Sorted" is for you.

"Sorted" is an uneven movie about the out-of-date dance culture

Wasn't the Swordfish soundtrack all done by Oakie?

aye, you are correct, sir.

And this is what the site said about it

quote:
British DJ and producer Paul Oakenfold is one of the hottest remixers in music today. He’s remixed songs by U2, Madonna, New Order, Cure and many more. He’s huge overseas, and is ready to break through in the US. Swordfish is the new John Travolta movie, and Oakenfeld created an energetic, intense and melodic soundtrack. About half the songs are performed by Oakenfeld, and he produces the rest, including tracks by Dope Smugglaz, Muse, Lemon Jelly, Afrika Bambaataa and more. Swordfish’s brand of dance music can be described as ethereal, trippy, hypnotic, aggressive, stylish and always extremely danceable.

Whoo! Amazing ain't it? I... guess? Okay, no, it's really not.

Ah but how many times has an EDM song saved someone's life in a movie?

A Front 242 track saved Bridget Fonda in Single White Female.
