They've been around for years... it started when zookeepers were trying to attract more visitors to the zoo so they started creating the "most terrifying beats" they could think of by cross breeding. This is where ligers and tigons came from... but they're like mules cuz they can't pro-create and yes, they're only bred in captivity.

Why is it that most hybrids are infertile? (does it happen relatively the same % of the time if they are male or female?) :conf:
