definitely the SNES... so many great RPG's....
however..
the DREAMCAST frickin owns all systems nowadays.
how many other consoles are able to bust out emulators and burned games WITHOUT a mod chip? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |

Newer: PS1 (I had like 500 games for that thing, and actually played them all for a period of time. talk about no life as a teen)
Dreamcast was wicked, and I actually played the Sega Saturn forever. I was addicted to the summer and winter olympic games. So simple, best party games ever, and ofc Virtual Cop :D |

Wow, this is hard to pick a ONE favorite.
I'd have ti say Super Nintendo, but not by much.
NES and PSX are very close behind.
And NOTHING comes close to Neo-Geo for 2d, nothing.
Best made system (the actual system itself, meaning games excluded) probably Dreamcast.
VERY solid system,
-first to go online with broadband (SNES was the first to go online, only in Japan, but there was an SNES satellite system that you could play updated versions of games, like, F-Zero2 for example, which is better than the first one. yes I have it on emulator).
-First with GUI memory (the VMU's)
-First to use non-standard cd's (gig discs or GD-ROMs)

that game was awesome...i also had the special christmas edition one (think it was only a demo or something.)
as for favorite console, it would have to be Super Nintendo.
Final Fantasy 3 (actually was final fantasy 6) took up so many hours of my life.
Then I got stationed in Japan, and found out how to 'mod' the SNES to play Super Famicom games...then Front Mission took up many hours of my life. |
