Half Life 2 Steam ERRORS

frickin crap.
steam is acting completely mental.. I've installed everything and when steam goes to update it wont go past 27%.. it just resets back to 0. It does this 3 times and then gives me a "steam unavailable, try again later" ... but i know the steam servers are online because it works fine at my friends house.
I thought it might by my router so I unhooked everything and plugged my computer directly to the net.. same .
Does anyone have any suggestions? please?? or is there anywhere I can manually download the update?
any help would be appreciated.. I really wanna play. thanks TAs |

| my buddy had the same think, it stopped at 33% then reset to 0. Fortunatelly i had no problems, but what he did, is that he waited for a few days and then it installed with no problems |

| if yer despreate to play do a full reinstall , it takes a while but imo worth it |
