hey guys, I need a new interface and would like some suggestions. here is what i need: portable and bus powered. 2 stereo inputs (total of 4 chanels). 2 stereo outputs and need to be able to control the volume level of one of them from the front of the unit. midi I/O. and REALLY REALLY low latency. id like to keep it under or around $400 US.
the output with the level control will be used for direct monitoring from one of the inputs, and i really cant have ANY latency here.
the lexicon omega looks like its exactly what i need and more, but my only concern is the USB interface. i know firewire has a higher bandwidth and gives lower latency than USB. has anyone used this one? i know lexicon makes awesome stuff.
right now i have a firewire 410 and its great except for the fact that it will only do 2 unbalanced analog inputs at a time.
