I disagree with you on this Blik: certainly because you never even go to those parties you're referring to! What is YOUR use @ the Holland Forum if you don't even use it for the stuff you write about in this thread? Only party you been to was Impulz last year: and I bet there wasn't even a thread for it (did the Holland forum exist already then???)
Anyway: you can act as if the Holland forum is a GOD sent (?) to all TA's..as if it's only usefull stuff that's written in there:rolleyes:
Well "foreign" TA's, lemme tell you....I think 75% of what is posted in there should be referred to as useless! It doesn't even handle about Trance, or big events or ...and according to your posts, that's what the regional forums should all be about!
And let me not even get started about the mods jobs there....

And maybe, for once, you should try to look at things with another perspective. I know it's really difficult, but if we all think you are being close-minded in your discussing, maybe it's time to do smth about it...

are u insane Blik. I was reading this thread feeling happy for the support towards the Aussie forum when i kept coming across your ridiculous posts. First u kill tiesto, then you say Australia has no scene. Let me ask you Blik:
- Have you been to Australia ?
- Have you been to an Australian Party/Rave/Niteclub/Event ?
- Are you assuming all you know about Australia is that we are a bunch of aboriginals who bang our clothes on rocks and eat vegemite and ride kangaroos to work ?
Armin is going to be here next Saturday, along with Sander, Hybrid and just around is like Scott Bond and many others. The gatecrasher tour is here. Lately we have been getting some great acts and i can tell you we have one healthy scene here. If you maybe knew Anything about our country other than what u assumed then you would know the a high perecentage of the nation participates in these events.
Now although NL is the epitome of events etc we still have our own scene and we have our own followers. If the AU forum makes it way in i would go out of my way to try and get more Aussie to signup to the forum and if u want an idea of how many people are just going to an event in my local city checkout the mail-forum thingy @ www.adventjah.com.au ... its absolutely massive.
Anyway Blik i have lost respect for you now and looking by the opinions of everyone else they have also. Please get your act together and act happy and positive on this forum. I havent seen a positive post from you in... well i can't remember.

blik u say that being a mod hasnt gone to ur head, but i think it has. i remember ur posts from before u were a mod and u used to be very nice and positive about everything. Now ur a damn dick and always criticizing everyone, denying everyone's vote to have something. yeah ur allowed to have ur opinion, but u are the only one here that FORCES ur opinions on others (we all HAVE to accept ur opinion as what is right). thats not fair and not right. u also get soooo involved with something that has absolutely nothing to do with u. an aussie forum would not effekt u in any way, yet u so spastically defend ur choice here. unless ur swamper telling the aussies why they cant have a forum i dont think its ur place to say these things uve been saying - especially that there is no trance scene in austrailia????????? jesus.
i also have lost any respect for u that i had (after the whole senior VIP thing too). it just seems that u like being involved in controversy and pessimism. and when alls said an done, u change ur tune to 'play it off' as if u were never wrong in the 1st place! i hope they have one of those tranceaddict picnics, because if i see u there im gonna *smack* u!

as you read in the reply you quoted, I don't really have the money for those parties, I work once in a week and make 40 guilders with that, a party costs around the 100 guilders (without transport and drinks and stuff) when I calculate that all, it is around 200-250 guilders for me to go to a big party, I have to work 1.5 months for that and then I am not allowed to give out one penny to something else
and yes, the Holland Forum exists since februari, impulz was 17 februari

and if you read my last reply (with the quotes from Juricimo) you have read that I actually think that if there should a regional forum, that that should be the Australia Forum!!!!!! But I don't support it because everyone wants one, when we go through this way we have 50 forums at the end of 2002.

Blik, I don't even know you, but I'm a mod on another very big (non trance related) board. I've always seen my job as basically to keep the spammers and lamers out of my forum, move around any mis placed posts, very occasionally cool down the worst excesses of childishness and flame warfare, and most importantly to do whatever I can to make sure that everyone who hangs on the board has a pleasant and enjoyable experience. Clearly that is not what's going on here :rolleyes: To be honest I'm really amazed that a supposedly respected member of the boards like a mod, particularly one who by his own admission knows FA about the Aussie clubbing scene anyway, should come wading in and perpetuate this worst kind of he-said-she-said ridiculous flame war that makes for such goddam tedious and ugly reading on any forum. Especially when it's clear that you're in the minority of opinion! It is your job as a mod to stop flames like this, not start them! Maybe you should have a look at how Wicked Neo has handled some of the bigger threads over on Music Discussion that have threatened to get out of hand, that is the professional way to do it man!
I can't see why a few guys requesting a new forum for their local chat should be any of the mod's business anyway, as long as they ask for it in a civil and polite fashion. There's either the server space for it or there isn't - either way it's an issue for the system administrator.
At the end of the day it's Swamper's train set and he can play with it however he likes. I say close the thread if it even threatens to get bitchy again, and when swamper has made his own mind up about how he wants to run his website then he can make his own decision. If there's gonna be a poll over it then put it in the polls forum where it belongs, with a simple yes/no response.

Damn it took me a long time to read this thread! After reading everything, I wonder what Blik's problem is with there being an Austrailia forum. I don't even know Blik and already don't like him. Having an opinion is one thing. But so vigorously fighting it is another. And Blik, don't be a hypocrite. You attack others claiming you have a right to have an opinion, but you don't realize that others are simply voicing their opinions too!
I don't see why the Aussies can't have their own forum. What are you worried about Blik, that the extra line on the forums page would take longer for it to load in your browser?
I have seen better than 20 Aussies in these forums. Thats more than "regular" posters in the Holland forums. Anyways, I prepare for a flame rebuttal from you based on my simple comment. Go ahead, I'm ready. :stongue: :stongue:
