how come, no offense, all the tracks in the singles section seem to be ty and unpopular, etc? there has to be way you can get more than one well-known track on there at a time. everytime i visit the site i dl only like 1 or 2 tracks from the singles section because the others are mostly stupid from what i've heard with past experiences, oh well. i can willingly upload some decent tracks if needed.
anyways, the live sets are good. keep it up. |

Well I don't think that's the point to be honest mate :) If you're after a well-known track just go get it from Audio Galaxy or whatever. The good thing about the Singles Section is that it contains a lot of great tracks that would probably have otherwise passed me by.
And as for uploading your own mp3's please feel free, the more the merrier :) |

A: Some tracks to you may be "ty" but to others they are great tunes, As with anything else in this world, peoples tastes differ so the tracks in the singles sections represent a mixture of trance genres, something for everyone as such.
B: There is not a lot of point in posting the Most popular tracks in the singles section simply cos they are available at many places over the net, like Audio galaxy and so with posting some of the lesser known stuff, some great tracks can be downloaded which may have been passed over elsewhere, just cos a track is not a Anthem does not make it a bad tune.
They help to widen the listening experience and again cos they may not be from the best known artists does not make the track any worse.
Some of my favorite artists are the lesser known. Yanny & Gollum for example, Baltes Vs Stevens (Eternal silence is a GREAT track !), Hemstock & Jennings to name but 3.
Download them and give them a listen, u may be pleasently surprised
C: As for quantity of tracks to download, you have to remember that this is a privately owned site, Swamper does all the hard work in keeping his servers running, paying to have them online, keeping them all online, updateing many aspects of the site, and of course with the way this site is growing, forums and files take up a lot of hard drive space and server time, think about how many hits this site gets a day.
He hosts a FTP, Forums and Downloads, He keeps tracks, livesets, videos online as long as he possibly can so the majority of ppl can download, with all that combined, to be able to offer 10 new tracks a week, every week plus new livesets and videos and work and keep this site running, tranceaddict.com is like a little miracle all of its own.
Personally i think he does a great job in keeping tranceaddict running :)
Again as Spad said, feel free to upload tracks to Swampers ftp but check whats alreay been uploaded and made available before, not just on tranceaddict but web wide, simply like i said before, if its popular its bound to be on the net somewhere.
Peace

Ok that is your oppinion. But i wouldn't think there is not many people who could run a very popular site, and get the latest tracks, and also keep control of this forum, and always making this site a better place to come to. Oh and there is always the problems with servers. So i dont think swamper gets enough praise for the good work he does.
I think some of the tunes are not for me, but as wicked neo said, peoples tastes differ. |
