MSN file sending....

| i have a question about sending files on MSN... i kept getting msg saying its a bad file or "not safe" and one know why? some of the files i can get from some people but mostly..icant..sux...people told me might be the "-firm-ware" i have no firewall on...anyone knows why? thanx |

It is not safe because you are infringing on various copyright laws and you will be punished for doing so.
I suggest you run a magnet over your hard drive. |

msn file sharing is generally of a low quality. ive never had alot of sucess with it. i'll only use it for files <25megs in size, or if its my only contact with a person.
never use msn for serious file transfers of a large size. its not a good file transfering setup - look for something alot more stable, like an ftp transfer, ICQ, or DCC in mIRC. |

| new msn 7.0 is blocking all media transfers that I know of. |

MSN 7 dont allow to send potencial dangerous files like .exe's. Try to rename the extension or compress the files.

MSN is a pain for sharing files.

| i personally just rename the files to *.gif or something like that.. that usually gets around the msn bug.. and once the file's done, then i get the person to rename the file. simple |

| yeah ui cant get .mp3 or .jpg :P so rename them to .xxx it works :D |
