What style exactly are you looking for? Are you looking to just collect some classics, are you looking for a certain producer, certain time period, certain label, etc.

Just dig through crates at record shops and pull out stuff that catches your eye. Pick out stuff from labels you know about, artists, etc..you can find some unique tracks sometimes that not many people know about :D

either way, vinyl gets expensive - quick

so your best bet would be to give a tune a listen before buying cus if not you could very easily buy something you detest just cus someone else thinks its good which would suck for you:tongue2

also, if you are certain you wanna stick with decks right off the bat, depending on your budget, i would highly reccomend buying a vinyl bag or case/crate because there are alot of tunes out there that are hard to find especially if you buy from a privately owned shop that you might find to be killer tracks and would give your left nut to replace it should something happen... buy protection, some day sooner or later you'll ether regret not investing in some or be really glad you did;)

anyways, back to tunes... my advice.... listen before you buy :whip:, never buy based on cover art, if you plan on eventually spinning for ppl other than yourself and you want ppl to dance - pick varying styles that are similar in BPM - say trance, techno, and breaks

dont buy all commercial hits cus youll quickly feel like a douche ... filler tracks are just as important as anthems

i just picked up that ferry corsten rmx, but got mixed reactions at a house party so i am hesitant of throwing that track on for the club next week.

do people usually dislike it when you play songs from the real big names (i.e. ferry, armin)? i would have guessed differently.
