I've been on Celexa since May 2002. It's a small dose (20mg/day), but it works wonderfully, so there was never a reason to up the dose.
Basically, it just increases your uptake of serotonin into the brain. It is not a HUGE increase (like MDMA). It usually takes 1-2 months to take any kind of effect.
Note however that MDMA and alcohol conflict with most anti-depressants, so be ready to give both up. |
I'm on 60mg a day of that. I'm not great on it but i'm a bit better than on nothing at all. I've had a few side effects with it, mainly sickness, it takes me ages to get going in mornings, however it doesn't do as much for me as it could, meaning I have to take valium if going to a lot of places, but not regularly, maybe once every couple of months |

I've been on a few:
20mg Prozac (Sept 03 - Jan 04)
Efflexor (Tried for a few days in Jan 04, side affects were making me sick)
30 mg Seroxat (Jan 04 - June 04)
20mg Prozac (June 04 - Present)
Seriously...Seroxat is the devil! It made me feel better for 2 weeks or so...then it slowly dragged me down. While taking them it felt like i had a split personality because one min i'd be fine and happy, then i'd get really upset, have pannic attacks, hyperventilate. It really changed who i am as a person.
Back on good old reliable Prozac now.
Another thing you can try is a Bach Flower treeatment called Rescue remedy. If your feeling worked up/stressed out you put 4 drops on your tounge and you go Completely Mellow! Its good stuff. |

My heart goes out to all of you, seriously, as long as you are taking these for legit reasons.

I'm curious about antidepressants.
I want to know more about them like the teen suicides related to them and how much they actualy help.
Any info you have would be helpful. |

Yarr matey, yee know thee score :D
Seriously, all natural and no side-effects, worth giving a go before stuff that does large alterations to your brain's chemical make-up |

O.K I want two things:
1. links to articles about suicides linked to anti depressants
2. natural alternatives ie. vitamins, foods, etc. even if it's things to cut out eating and whatnot. |
