Went shopping today...solely looking for prog trance.
OMGZ there is a lot at the moment...Markus Schulz may not be the greatest DJ on earth, but some of the tracks on his samplers are pretty farkin kool.

There is soo much good prog trance floating about atm. Haak is anothery who is killing it atm. farkin even Harelems latest release - (b side) Electronique is good prog trance.

The Derek Howell mix of Why? is awesome...as is you wanna do what.

Subversive is owning me atm.

IT IS ON.

Im running with this opinion.

I don't know what you'd call it, but i agree that Haak produces some very nice stuff.

He is probably the best of a bunch of up-and-coming producers in my opinion.

I've been getting into a bit of the old Oakie prog trance tunes lately.....

Prog trance is an empty cocoon. The creativity went to prog house et al after '02. It's never come back. A few tunes here and there have been the only exceptions.
Kosmas Epsilon is among the few with a clue and he borders on prog house most of the time.

Today I went into the rekkid shops for the first time in about a month. (switched jobs - waz broke)
So yeah anywayz, i went in with fresh ears, and i tell u what...things change.
Anywho...i reckon today i werked out the secret to hard/tek trance.
Its all about the beatz/fatness and the removing and redropping of the beatz.
A good examPLe would be Modjano - senorita. (the b1 mix) or the new Difuse one.
There are still slight melodies, but its not about the massive break, its more about the beat cutting out, the build and then a change of beat, and a big bassline kicking in.

hmmm.. I know im slightly drunk, but i'd like to hear your thoughts on this one.
An oldskool dj that used to PLay this style would be John Kelly, the Melbourne DJ Jewelz tends to do this a bit too.....and i can see Eddie Halliwell going down this path.....anywho its a pretty british thing, but yeah i like it, and would like to hear your thoughts on this one.

hard progressive tech trance anyone?

Now this week you post this!

Lay of the alcohol .. or crack .. whatever yer on anyway :)

Make yer mind up!

Love Huey
