I Hear Bells..........dickie Dee!! (pg. 2)

The Dickey-Dee was is a staple memory of my childhood. The joy we'd get when we were kids and heard the bells! Running inside REAL QUICK (dont wanna miss her) , get money from mom and dad and run back out to flag her down (it was usually this on older women named Brenda)

OMG! I wish i remembered all teh flavours. This is such a good thread. What a fantastic blast from the past!

Not a problem......I had the same surge when I thought it was DICKIE-DEE - this is back in the eighties - wickid times....

I heard one of those here in cambridge, went out, it was just one of those weird trucks that sharpins knifes lol :(

I remember seeing a dickie-dee guy get chased by a group of kids in the Glendower (Finch/Birchmount) area. He was pedaling for his life. And to keep the money he made, I'm sure!

Majority of you guys are talking about the ice-cream trucks, but when I think of dicki-dee I think of the guy riding his bike pushing the
ice-cream cart along ringing bells. Those were the , My favourite icecream as a kid was the sour one, can't remember the name.
