Search...nada.
anywhoo...Been a while since i tried to record a mix and decided to give it a go today. Anyways...i got a laptop, so im recording through my mic in which sounds pretty good.
basic info on my laptop. its a 1.3 ghz, 256 ddr ram (i think) have like 13+ gigs unused. And just defragged my hard drive a couple days ago. im running sound forge 7.0
well heres my problem...when i record, the time recorded and volume level will pause for a couple seconds, then return back to normal. No gaps or anything, the song just jumps. I just noticed a few hours ago that on the bottom of the record window it says, "review pre/post-roll (0-30 seconds)" and "prerecord buffer (0-30 seconds)"
I was curious if i screw around with those two, will it help in eliminating the jumps in my recording??? especially if i put about 10 seconds in the prerecord buffer??? I figure it would, but damned if i know
if anybody can shed a little light...it'd be great. |
