Hi guys, I'm back from a 2 month Japan trip.

I just thought I'd let you electronic music enthusiasts know about this series.

Thursdays
3:00 pm
SBS Sydney

Subsonics (30 mins , Rated: G)
Genre: Documentary

This six-episode series explores the long-neglected area of experimental music. Over 24 international and local artists are featured - everything from all elephant orchestras, the sounds of electrical activity in the upper atmosphere, to cutting edge turntable artists and music for sticky tape. Subsonics uncovers a vibrant and thriving underground culture.

The question you should be asking is "grope any schoolgirls?". :)
(No I didn't. :))

The schoolgirl fetish is huge, almost mainstream!

Anime and comic collectors would know how perverted the Japanese are.

There are 5 more episodes. Just record them. I recommend getting a digital TV card for the computer, I love the one I got (FusionHDTV).
No more fiddling with video cassette tapes!

The first episode had an excellent feature about a lady who experimented with music from dot matrix printers. She was trying out different patterns and shades of grey to get different sounds and rhythms from the printer! And the actual printouts are art in themselves! I wonder how much ink tape she's gone through. It wouldn't be easy to find ink tape these days, considering that hardly anyone uses dot matrix printers anymore... the annoying noise would be a major reason!

I'm looking forward to the feature on the "turntable artists", which should be appearing in one of the upcoming episodes.
