I used synth1 for the bass i then constructed bass line from playing off my midi keyboard then recording into sequencer. Then i did a simple common break beat applying fx in both bass and beat parameters.
then did my hats and then before doing any more i added vocals to see how it fit in.
i then adjusted the pitch on the bass notching up and down per four to 8th bar. That gave it the note change effect.I didnt wanna do lower higher notes etc cuz i thought the pitch shifting sounded much smoother.
i then played vocals with track and chopped them as needed for the chorus etc.
added some delay eq the vocals basically raising delay paremetrs on certain keypoints in vocal so the delay wouldnt overrun and give that cool effect on each 8th.
a little chrus and reverb. Then i did the format of track where i wanted it to build and break doing my snares etc.As well as beats breaking points at the end of 8ths and 4ths bars.
i then wanted a cool tom effect for the sweep before kick/crash approached so i then went into synth1 and decided to create the sound i wanted added delay notched the volum and eq and rever and wallah.
progreesed along as any tracks built adding fx etc until i found what i wanted in it.
as for the kid who said it sucks theres no lead.
I didnt want a lead becuase its typical everyone was putting leads and general breaks usually just rely on bass as the lead it a floor track not a uplifting track its in no way meant to have a lead its just something to groove too.And for a lead i thought the gate was enough i didnt wanna over do it.
nuff said happy now ;) |
