Cos they get a load of aid?

Pakistan seize al-Q no. 3

The Americans wouldn't know an "al-Q no. 3 if it bit them on their arses"

quote:
Al-Libbi’s arrest in Pakistan, announced last Wednesday, was described in the United States as “a major breakthrough” in the hunt for Osama Bin Laden.

Bush called him a “top general” and “a major facilitator and chief planner for the Al- Qaeda network”. Condoleezza Rice, secretary of state, said he was “a very important figure”. Yet the backslapping in Washington and Islamabad has astonished European terrorism experts, who point out that the Libyan was neither on the FBI’s most wanted list, nor on that of the State Department “rewards for justice” programme.

quote:
The only operations in which he is known to have been involved are two attempts to assassinate Pervez Musharraf, Pakistan’s president, in 2003. Last year he was named Pakistan’s most wanted man with a $350,000 (£185,000) price on his head.

No European or American intelligence expert contacted last week had heard of al-Libbi until a Pakistani intelligence report last year claimed he had taken over as head of operations after Khalid Shaikh Mohammad’s arrest. A former close associate of Bin Laden now living in London laughed: “What I remember of him is he used to make the coffee and do the photocopying.”

So, well done Pakistan you just arrested al-Qaida's tea boy! But then, dont worry bout it, the Americans will think he is a very important person, if you say so!!!

a military governement, promise of military aid, its the 70's all over again with pakistan, the US will use us, abuse us then label us terorrists.

after proping up our dictator for 10 years and destroying all viable demortic institutions they will force us to adopt a flawed democracy fueled by corruption and murder and then we'll be robbed again.

save this post and read in 10 years.

If there is one country in the world where we do NOT want a democracy it is Pakistan!

Cos there are too many bin Ladens living there and I would consider it a tad unwise to let them anywhere near the vacitnity of a nuclear bomb, let alone giving them control over the red button...

my dads friends with someone who works for the pakistan gov..and he was saying the american intelligence is up to no good in pakistan. assasination plots etc. cant mind the exact story he told me, but it was along those lines. according to him they are well involved in setting up the gov in that country. could be untrue though, but wouldnt surprise me if it was true.

the only reason musharraf is alive is thanks to the americans, once he outlives their use the next attempt on his life will be succesfull. he knows it and therefore is america's best friend in the region

Opinions are not a prerequisite to aptitude.

However if you must know, it's quite obvious (my 'opinion' of course) that the artist doesn't believe that Pakistan has a mind of it's own.
It's very demeaning actually and I can totally understand Pakistan's outrage.
