Advice on Cheap Shipping to Australia

Hello all. Today my auction for a pair of Camper shoes ended and the lucky fellow happened to be an Aussie. Now the problem. I'm in the US and from the estimations I've received so far it's going to cost a pretty penny to get them over there from Los Angeles.
So my question is what are the names of some companies that ship from the US to Australia for cheap??? |

I know some people who will be happy to pay your airfare to bring them here yourself as long as you are happy to make a brief stop in bali :toothless

I'm on my way to the US post office in my city right now to see how much it will cost. I called UPS and DHL and they're giving me quotes over $100. F That!
I'll give you guys the estimation the USPS gives me when I come back. |

my mom has sent me stuff from the US and she paid $30 US (with USPS) for up to 2 lbs. and that was air mail, not surface. surface takes forever...
so find out the weight then go from there. |

USPS is the way to go. my package weighs 12.5 pounds and it will only cost $18.95 US to ship it the second cheapest way getting to its destination in 5-7 days
and yes, i made the buyer pay shipping. the hell if i'm going to subsidize S&H with my own money |
