| Looking into buying a new PC which comes with 128MB PCI-Express ATI Radeon X300SE and not sure whether I should upgrade to 256MB PCI-Express nVidia GeForce 6800 which will cost an extra £100. Not sure whether it is worth the extra. |

| 6800 would be a good bet. I have a 6600GT and my brother has two 6600GTs and we're happy so I'm sure that upgrading could only be that much better. Well maybe not better than having two video cards but still. |

| The price isn't too much, so I'd go for it. Personally, I'm still in the AGP days. I just got the ati 9800 pro, but I'm feeling the itch to upgrade. Unfortunately, NO MONEY FOR THAT ANYMORE! :D |

Not at all. My Radeon 8500 killed it when it first came out, I could run anything and having had it for a few years I can say I've had no problems with it. |

I dunno, I haven't had any probs with ATI, and for the most part, they can handle whatever you throw at them. |

| I owned the 5200FX, it was nice? Now I have the 9800PRO, it's nice too. I think both companies have great stuff to offer. Currently, Nvidia is rocking with their SLI . |

i think your video card hs is not properly attach to the gpu or you are overclocking it too high. take it out, clean it with 70% iso-something alcohol, apply AS3/5 on it, the attach old HS or get a new zalman vf700cu HSF on it. or you can try to downclock little by little to it clears. |
