I recently took a hieatus from trance (4 months or so) and explored other generas of EDM. After everthing was said and done I dont get the same feeling I get from trance from other generas of music (i.e. house, dnb, ect.). Just downloaded the kyau vs. albert mix and remebered why I love this music so much. Has anyone else went through something similar to this? Well it feels good to be back.

Very much what happened to me some months ago. I got really tired with trance since i thought it all sounded alike in the end. So i started exploring progressive and other forms of music. Now i'm slowly returning back to trance but in the same time i have a larger sense of music. Combining all these different types of music makes EDM worth listening.

It never really gets old, so no, I haven't. I listen to a variety of music though, not just trance.

i listened to it for years then just drifted out of it. didnt do it for me anymore. i made it a point of mine to explore every genre of EDM i could. found so much diversity and found myself liking almost all of the genres. except trance. just doesnt do it for me anymore.

For some strange reason, I go with the seasons. In summertime, I like conventional or "cliche" trance with warm leads and such. When fall comes, I prefer harder, older trance. During winter and early spring, I prefer the colder, more neutral-sounding house tracks. Then as it starts to get warm again, I go full circle and go back to trance.

I took a break from Trance awhile back. After listening to some of my old cd's, I learned to appreciate Trance more.

I know the feeling you're talking about. The europhoria good trance elicits is hard to come by in other genres. |

i still love listening to trance but i dunno i just have more of a passion for hip-hop, funk, and house... not that i don't mind a good trance set every once in a while but the music doesn't excite me as much as it used to
