***Official E3 2005 Discussion thread***

Well, E3 is officially kicking off on Wednesday, with Pre-E3 conferences from the "Big 3" starting tomorrow. So for those interested in what Sony, MS and Nintendo have in store for us, check back here every so often. I'll try to update this thread as much as I can, with any major news.
Just to give everyone a heads up, this is whats going on starting tomorrow:
Monday May 16
- 3pm Pacific, Sony Press Conference (Playstation 3 unveiling)
- 7:15pm Pacific, Microsoft Press Conference
Tuesday May 17
-- 9am Pacific, Nintendo Press Conference ("Revolution" unveiling)
Wednesday May 18, 10am Pacific
-- 10am Pacific, E3 "officially" opens
There will be livestreams available from Gamespot, IGN, as well as other sites so if you really wanna get all the good then I suggest you guys sign up to one of those sites (they should have special E3 promotions going on now). |

| BTW theres a big poster of what I belive is the PS3 from Sony on this bus stop outside of my friends house. Checked it on the web and it is the PS3 ads. Got them all over the big US cities now and in Japan...... |

This week is going to get IN TER EST ING, I can tell you that much.
Can't wait to see what goodies the PS3 touts as well as the reason behind the "Revolution" codename on Nintendo's latest console. |

Have you been following the latest tid-bits? Rumour has it that the Revolution will be COMPLETELY wireless. Not just wireless controllers. That, and it'll be the size of 3 DVD cases stacked on top of eachother.
As for PS3...man...I dunno. I'm really neutral about Sony because I know half of the things they'll say about their new console will be false. Remember the hype surrounding the "Emotion Engine" in PS2? How the console will be capable of real-time Toy Story-quality graphics? Or how because of the EE, characters in games will evolve intellectually, they'll learn from you and react accordingly. LOL...oh man that was some good .
Eitherway though, like you said...this week will be very interesting. |

Hell yea!!
But man, this E3, and the next generation will really take gaming into a new direction. I still remember when people talked about what future consoles will be like back when the N64 premiered...or when CD's became the standard with the PS1 and Saturn. Look at how the industry developed since then. |

I have just downloaded the xbox and ps3 confernces from IGN, (1.5GB for both!)
gonan watch them now. PS3 looks a bit wierd. |
