neither
Behringer composer pro, or autocom pro (autocom doesnt have a hard limiter like the composer).
Affordable, reliable and good. The alesis is inferior IMHO (having used all of the above at some point) |

Behringer Ultrabass Pro EX 1200
This device transforms the bass notes one or two octaves
lower. So, a 110 Hz frequency can be transformed to 55
(One Octave) or 25 (Two Octaves) Hertz.
If you have really good subs, you will benefit from this
piece. However, if you don't have subs, you will more
than likely destroy your speakers with this module.
Alesis 3630
This is an adjustable compressor. Compressors will
limit either the input, or output of a signal. A
perfect example is radio. Ever wondered why the
volume on your favorite station always has the same
level? Its compressed.
If your system sounds good, leave it alone. The
money you would spend on these effects, you could
put it towards better speakers.
BTW. I do own a compressor, and, the Ultrabass.
But, I doubt you and I are in the same league
in audio. Reason being. Anyone thats hauling
large gear wouldn't ask such a question.
And, no. That wasn't an insult. |
