Denon DNS 1/3/5000 Voltage question

For anyone with one of these Denons could you please check behind the cd player and tell me what it says in regards to voltage?

If you're in the us is it something like:

120 Volts 50 Hz
OR
120~220 Volts 50~60 Hz

Curious if they are current switchable out of the box or not.

my dns3000 says:

~230V 16W 50Hz

hope that helps cos i have no idea what ur question actually is

EDIT: ooops just read u said us

im in uk so it'll propably be completely different
jdat
well I'm just curious if the Denon cd players are switchable out of the box ...

so say I bought it in the US and it was marked 110~220 it would mean I could bring it over to europe.

But it does actually appear that these units aren't dual voltage capable and I would have to get a transformer.

ps: I'm in France mate :P

unlucky:haha:

but seriously - if u could buy it in the US and use it over here in good old europe then they wouldnt be able to charge us higher prices so i think its unlikely they will work in both the US and europe

Well there's others technical reasons too why they don't make them switchable out of the box.

Few consumer electronics goods support it apart from maybe Sony.
It really depends from one company to another.

I should have bought a cd player when I was still in the US :(

I'll get one shipped and use a transformer easy as pie.

Not sure if this is of any help...
jdat
LoL Beats and peeps.

Is that some practical joke or something :stongue:

There's nothing marked there :(

It should be a label right on top of where it's marked " Made In Japan"

But I do believe these units are not current switchable unfortunately. Just have to use an adapter
