Thinking about moving to Miami and have a question

Hey everyone!

I'm a trance dj from Toronto and I'm seriously thinking about moving to Miami in November. The only thing is that after years of hard work things are going very well for me in Toronto and I'm starting to get a number of exciting gigs.
I'm willing to take the leap of faith providing there is opportunity for new talent to get on some stages in the Florida/Georgia, etc. area... so I could use your opinions on what the trance scene is like in that area and if you guys feel there are opportunities for new djs to play.
Thanks for your help!

trance itself is very under appreciated here in florida.... unless you're tiesto, pvd, or ferry. florida is all about house... stay in toronto

ambs is right unless your a big name euro trancer, you are not going to find much appreciation down here. house is defintely the spice of choice in south florida atm.

honestly bro, there will be hard work *wherever* you move, being locally known is great, but it takes time to do...unless you are an international star, moving and starting getting your name out in a new community is going to take some time and effort, and is always a humbling experience (yes, for everyone)...

good luck, south florida is NOT the *worst* place in the world for trance (ive seen much worse)...im not a trance dj myself, but have seen several of my trance dj friends succeed in the area...

if you are really good you'll start to carve out your own niche' of listeners/followers anyway...they had a trance dj as a resident at space for a bit (markus) and he ALWAYS had a packed crowd...so it can be done!
