| oooh!! i have a goal to write a screenplay, even if it doesn't get looked at or whatever. i think it'd be fun. i have "screenplay writing for dummies" and other books about it, but it's the software that i need. the format is foreign territory for me and all the lingo is different too. it's like a whole diff planet of writing. it would be so much fun, but it's hard to find time and motivation to do something like that between school and work...i wish it was a homework assignment for me. |

you only need a formatting program if you want to get published. You can flesh out your ideas in a treatment and then get into the screen play. Google up samples to get an idea of what goes into it. You can always format it later on. The most important part is being able to write believable dialog and present things in a fresh way. |

Alright, before I'm on summer vacation I have ONE more assignment left to do for school....I have to write a godamn screenplay for a 5-10 minute long movie with dialogue. I don't mind doing it....but as with every other school assignment I do, I'm having a pretty hard time trying to start it out, so to COR I have turned. You guys have any ideas for a short movie? and I KNOW you do. Who knows, maybe your idea will go to a film festival one day, everyone will love it and we'll both become millionaires. :toothless |
I would tell you, but then I couldn't use it for my own creative writing class. Maybe I'll see you at Sundance or Cannes;) |

| I saw this in a movie about a bus that had to speed around a city, keeping its speed over 50, and if its speed changed, it would explode! I think it was called, 'The Bus That Couldn't Slow Down.' |
