I'm using fruity and could do with a few good kick samples, crisp punchy ones like pvd and john askew would use... anyone help out?

Try using the software 'stomper' (google it)! You can get basic kicks from this and then add rim shots and hats to personalise! Add eq and maybe overdrive! Its pretty simple!

royality free drum kicks??? haha, no offense, but who the is going to crack down on you if you use 'THEIR' kick drum...like honestly, if you have that good of an ear, even after compression/eq, you deserve a medal if you can spot that one.

Royalty free kicks??? I had to LOL as well... I mean after all, most kick samples are tweaked by the producer anyway so even in the unlikely event a dude had special powers to ID his kick in a random track, it would be extrememly questionable at best.
