techs...but thats because i've only used the techs and the vestax pdx before..

It's a good idea. But even if this does get stickied, what n00b acually reads the stickies?

I have tried all the above and the Techs stick in my mind as being the definitive deck.
There are other good decks out there no doubt but none of the others really measure up in terms of culture or legend. The 1200/1210 is the definitive icon of the EDM culture in my opinion.

So does that mean they are actually the best to use......or that they are just a symbol?
I wonder just how many people get swept up in the hype........

i voted techs...

but ive herd some good stuff about the stantons.. been wanting to buy a pair of ST-150s

but ive actually used techs so my vote goes there...

part of it is hype...but when you get right down to it all your turntable REALLY needs in the end is to be able to play a record without skippage and be solid enough to withstand al the vibrations of ppl dancing and loud music which it does...

no bells and whistles, just str8 up record play

In my own personal opinion they are the best.

Save money and still get techs.

+1, even if you hate spinning records after you get them, the resale value is sky high... much better than any of the other decks listed...

Plus, if you find you do indeed enjoy spinning, you've got a great set of decks right off...

vestaxs are actually also pretty nice to use...but i'll still choose techs over them(just a personal pref)...

I have to say Techs. I like the Vestax decks and if I could afford a new set of decks without having to sell my Techs I'd get a pair. Thing is you can find a pair of good condition used Techs for the price of one new Tech in 1984 so its kind of stupid to buy anything else. The Stantons are OK too but I dislike the TTX1s. I hate the pitch fader on them and I personally know a few people that had one of theirs break down after two+ years of working fine. A Technics 1200 will work fine for 20+ years.
