60GB mp3 players

So, im loosly considering purchasing a 60gb mp3 player..
I know, 60gigs is tons, that way it'll never get full (i hope)!
so, ive stumbled upon these two that are 60gb:

whats the difference between normal once and TOUCH ones?
and of course, the IPOD... some say its good, some say its bad.
picture viewer, full color screen, thats kinda cool.

so, its down to this:
im looking for all of you to help me make an informed decision about one (if any) of these bad boys.
tell me your experiences/preferences, also suggestions of something else out there with this kind of capacity (are there any sony products with massive storage space like this? i think the new sony NW-HD5 is only 20gb).

I have a 20gb regular iPod and I absolutely adore it. There are a few problems with it I have though. One being the pricetag for it since all it really is is a hard drive with a mp3 playing program on it. It seems kinda steep for that. And if it's that much for the casing, then it's still overpriced. I've scratched the ever-living bejesus out of it simply having it in my pocket. I would definitely buy a skin for it if you have the money to blow.
Also, my other beef, and it's mainly due to me being an idiot and ADHD, is when I got my first, yes I said first, iPod I fell in love with the weird buttons. So I put the device on hold and messed with the buttons for a little bit like some hyperactive 3 year old. When I turned it off of hold none of the buttons would really work and I had to return it and get store credit to get a new one.
Other than those two flaws I love my iPod. It's almost as essential as my cell phone. Take it everywhere and play it in my car. I'd say get one, though the 60 gig will cost you an arm and your first born. My 20 gig was $286... and it's not even a picture one. :( |

if you really want an ipod check out www.apple.com (if youre american, dont know if its the same for canada?!)
anyway, go to the education and from there you can get student discount for most of the apples products (if not all) I check the Ipod photo 60gb version and you can currently get it for roughly $560 AUSTRALIAN now that is not expensive...
I would rather get something else than ipod though :D like Iriver H340 (40gb) or the creative player you mentioned, its Really good! |

the Creative Labs Zen Xtra is huge and bulky. My friend has one and we call it the toaster.
See in the MP3 world, small sleek and sexy is cool, not big and bulky. |

yeah i have the zen. it's kinda big but i dont care. it plays music which is important enough for me.
not sure what the battery life is, i had it going nonstop for 5 hours on a fully charged battery. got down to 1 bar (out of 3) but it didn't falter or anything.
I dunno, i'm happy with the zen because its a portable MP3 player and thats all I want.
the only downside to it is the fact that you have to install software on your computer to copy files to the player. Kinda sucks, but oh well. |

I would also check out an iriver
20gig, still enough, plays movies and music. Seen one of these things and action and they are niiiiiice. I'm kinda mad I got an iPod when comparing it to this thing. |
