So the earphones that came with my IPOD seem to be blown out..Anyways does anyone have anny suggestions for some good, cheap earphones? The most I would like to spend is $40 which is the same price for new headphones from the apple site but I am sure there are some better ones but I am not that earphone savvy, so any suggestions???
Thnks in advance

Higher then 40 dollars but sounding like a Million bucks

Shure E2C minimum is around 80 some dollars.

They're not the most discrete but the fit is quite comfortable and they actually stay in place ( comes with various size of fit sleeves foam or silicone )

Bass definition is also very good.

And they also block most outside noise so they are the equivalent of an earplugs/earbuds hybrid. You will be able to listen to things at a much lower volume and hear the music just fine and hear no one around you.

Use at work all the time ... almost too effective because then I don't hear anyone ...

consider Sennheiser PX200. i just bought some for $40 (shipping included) and they sound great. they are closed, over the ear, have cushions which make an good seal, have a decent size cord, and are collapsable.

my friend has some PX100 which are the open design and was considering getting those, and i'm glad i didn't because the bass is overemphasized in the PX100. in the PX200 the bass sounds punchier, the mids are great, the highs are good. a good deal and better sounding than some more expensive models.

EDIT

earphones as in-ear? crap. the ones i suggested are head phones but i'd consider them anyway.:D
