Lemme introduce myself (again, i'll get to this in a minute ffs) names dave (again ffs) there, (again) anyway back to the point (again) i just spent ages typing stuff out and forgot to put a subject title on and hit post when i came back this was all gone, well this as in the term before this cuz it anyway,

I use Neundo for producin (im just gonna make this quick cuz i cant be arsed gtg soon) i know my to a certain extent, but when it gets to that extent it stops suddenly and falls like a bottomless pit except it has a bottom which is covered in spikes and splat my brain frazzles, after my body being mutilated, aaaaaaanyway:
I can make all my sounds etc (except bass which i'll get to in a minute) (and excuse any typos but i'm typing hardly lookin) (and pardon my french) (and sorry for all the brackets i bet its pissin you off) (sorry for any inconvenience) (if thats even spelt right...)
But however when it comes down to levels for mastering and eq and gettin the 'original' frequency etc thats kinda roundabout where i fall off a cliff and hurt myself, sometimes its tall cliffs sometimes its short cliffs, sometimes its just fallin off my seat cuz its half snapped and ikea sucks so i aint buying a new one there again... and umm thats about that for that but then again...
... One thing i cant do even tho in understand wave forms etc how they work blah blah (i aint saying blah blah boring saying blah blah u know this k thx bye) however i cant seem to get the sound i want... im kinda lookin for clubland bass, like used in most of special d's tracks, and friday night posse, basically big phat bass, and i cant do it, ive tried, oh dear god ive tried, and failed, and even worse, kept failing, which sucks, and on a few occasions where some things suck are good (u know what im talkin about) this isnt one of them, this is a suck suck bad suck suck, again if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction, this would be one of those good sucks, and i'd definately say thank you

Perhaps you shouldn't have finished off the whole bottle before typing. Is there a question in there, cos there were a few times where I though you were asking for help on something and then you change the subject all of a sudden and put in heaps of brackets.
To answer your question, yes. You spelt inconvenience correctly. |

Suggestion 1) Switch to Decafe :p

Don't stop at this page though search around the site and i'm sure you can google a whole bunch of tutorials
For really fat sounds use more then 1 occilator (like usually 3 or more) and detune one or more of them! (its like playing a single note on a piano compared to playing a chord) But i asumme you already knew this since you mentioned that you make your own sounds...
As far as wave shaping goes... i can't really help you... I fairly sure that the wave shape is exactly that, the shape being pumped out by the occilator. Diffrent shapes produce diffrent sounds for a basic example Sine wave are sound smooth, saw waves are harsh. (they even look like they sound go figure!)

yeah sorry for my hyper approach the other day but, i was listening to clubland and i was bouncing, enough said,
jesus, i just noticed, the whole point of the brackets was because i had lost my whole entire post, and i actualy forgot to add the questions, those being:
Can anyone help me with eq/mastering?
Can anyone help me with bass - producing sound and eq etc
and yeah i know about saw waves sine waves etc, such as saw waves gives u a rich harmonic sound where on the other hand sine waves gives you a more smooth choirish sound, i know my average trance leads, but i aint 2 good at creating unique trance leads, such as example, grab 3 oscs, 3 saw waves, put one of them an octave higher than the other 2, detune 2 a fair bit and the highger octave half detuned as the others, put on some unison detune and 32 voices, chuck in some delay some treble eq, add some lfo for some extra coolness or whatever and faff about with the ADSR settings for the filter cutoff, well thats one way, but although i can explain a basic trance lead... see bass... see it?? the little swine that it is ! ah just cannae dae it...also u can make cool leads with ring_modulator and PWM etc, anyway, my questions stand as above, and i apologise for the jibberish the other day, i was out my nut high on the mooooooozik, cheers, dave,

Careful. You shouldn't tell others what is right when it comes to religion. Let 'em decide for them self. But, let's not move away from the topic.
I recommend you to lear to EQ and compress by tweaking. Do everything youself. You'll get your own "sound" and you will have learned tons of stuff. |

thing is, i can make professional leads, i cant make the kinda bass im lookin for, but can make good enough bass, i can kinda make the cool little fx noises u hear in tunes, and my percussion loops etc are all ok, its just, i cant mix everything down... i cant master a song, and thats what sucks...
and yeah, i'll shut up about religion, sorry bout that. |
