Anyone have a way of contacting Matt Darey directly?

I realise this isnt 'Music Discussion' in a sense, but it still affects us trance lovers who buy from a UK Record Label.
After the fiasco with Darey Products (Matts record label) a few months back, with regards to non-shipping of items and severe delays, its happened all over again, and i'd like to make Matt aware of this so that he can see what his own fans think of it. I know theirs email and forum contacts, but he has people to check those for him. (Like his webshop)
Over 6 weeks for an Adam White - Ballerina CDR, with constant emails, nothing has turned up. The promise of a CDR and a free t-shirt hasnt turned up either. :conf:
And to add to it.... I won a signed Whiteroom - Someday vinyl off Woom Recordings competition (see my name on the index page) and never received that either! :haha: |

buying things from darey products is one of the worst places to buy things from, you only have a 75% of receiving your goods it seems.
My only advice to people is too make sure you pay with a credit card. that way you are insured. If you don't get your goods you can report it to your credit card company who will then re-emburse you and then chase up darey products themselves. if it happens to enough people a ccard company could take this alot further.
i will never buy from them because of this and feel more confident buying the products second hand off of ebay.
such a shame considering matt is one of my favourite prodcuers (fmy fave track of all time being Lost Tribe - Angel) and some of the material on his label is amazing, particularly his own upcoming track 'eternity'. wish this could be sorted out once and for all. they need someone else in charge of the shop or need to sell their music through another online distributor.

Listen...
I am in contact with Matt Darey and Adam
I will drop them an email when I get home with this thread in it and see if I can get them to get in touch...
The last thing they will want is an unhappy customer...
Cheers

The thing is DP is offering goods for purchase and then not forfilling and order. they ignore emails which is deliberate and therefore very unprofessional. They then offer free goods to compensate but also don't live up to that promise. They put on a competition, announce the winners and dont deliver again.
If it was me in swisstoni's shoe's i'd rather not have any free t-shirts cd-rs and phony promises it will be rectified.. i'd rather have the truth from the begining with a clear response to EVERY email no matter what the position.
In fact, as soon as they know they can't complete the order they should contact the customer UNPROMPTED saying.. "we're really sorry, we're out of stock at the moment, we're doing all we can, we can't predict a delivery date at this moment time / it will take 6 weeks to sort it, can we refund your order or would you be willing to wait". That way the customer is fully informed without having to investigate him/herself, is told the truth from the begining, good contact is kept throughout, and the customer is given an option to be refunded or wait.
i've never taken a business class in my life, but everyone should know that keeping a customer informed throughout a transaction is essential. seriously, how hard is it to hit the reply button on an email and type out a single sentence?! |

Agreed totally. Matt probably isnt aware of whats going on if he leaves the Webshop to others, which is why i would like him to realise what a poor reputation Darey Products is very quickly gaining. Dont offer a webshop if the staff are not capable of handling it, which it seems the present staff are not.
How long does it take for someone to burn off a CDR and go down the Post Office? |

| I won a signed copy of point zero from DP in october, never turned up. got lots of excuses, server crashes and the like, but still never arrived. I would have been pissed if it was something i'd paid for, and would have bought the new mixes if i wasn't expecting this one to turn up. |
