As a tech support guy that works in the US, I have to ask the "is it plugged in" question all the time.
I'd say about 70% of the time, that--or something equally stupid--is the problem. So don't knock us for asking.
Other than that, great flash. :D |

i've worked tech support and its amazing the amount of dumb calls i took.
from the usual
'my computer wont start, its making noises and stuff thou'
is the monitor on?
'huh'
press the on / off button on the screen in front of you
'oh yeah that's got it, thanks'
to this
'hi, i want to enter a product into my database, how do i do it?'
so i found out the program, it was an epos system used for bar management, got the caller to get into the correct menu and he is adding a single bottle of stella artois lager, it gets shortened to 'Stella Bottle' on this system.
so the caller types in Stella then there is a pause and he asks
'how do i get the gap?'
what gap?
'the gap between stella and bottle'
hit the space bar i tell him
his answer
'what one is that then mate?'
it was at that point i wanted to use the classic, pack the computer up and put it into the box it came in and take it back to the shop line. . .
