sequel to Mafia?

Hey does anyone know if there will be a sequel to Mafia?
Mafia was definitely the best game i've ever played, and I would be overjoyed to hear of a sequel being made. |

i dont think a sequel to mafia would really work it would probably ruin it but i do agree mafia is probably the best game ive ever played.
Also i wouldnt relie on godfather to much ea games r making it lol i cant imagine it being anywhere near as good as mafia |

well i could just imagine ea games glorifying the mafia life style abit in this game with loads of blood and big explosions i think it will be to GTA like.
But mafia was spot on the story line was awesome it wasnt just a pointless run & shoot and blow everything up type game every mission actually served a purpose and it really got u into the mafia life style of what it must of been like there even seemed to be a moral to the whole story with the ending which was good aswell. |

isn't it maffia that had a mission where you had to steal a car and then race with it???
if that's the game it was really nice... but i sucked at the racing part.. so stopped playing it caus i just couldn't win.. hehe |

yes that was one of the missions in the update patch one of the fixes was actually to reduce the difficulty of that racing part
get the patch u might be able to get past it now |

I had a problem with the part before you take the car to the garage to get it "fixed". If you leave the car you came with at the gate and run to the race car garage, the race car won't start. Unlike you, I used a save game to get one level ahead of that. ;)
I can't image the sequel to Mafia would have much to do with the previous storyline but it could be something like GTA, I guess. Subtle links to previous versions of the game. |

Mafia is a fecking fantastic game.... great great game :)
that racing part is awesome, I managed to do a 360 in the air over the bump at the chicane and landed on the wheels, LOL! :D |

thats what i mean it would ruin it they should leave this game alone a sequel just wouldnt work |

Awesome game! Racing part was a big challenge but felt really good to get past it, i think the patch detracts from the feeling of accomplishment you get when you win that race.
If done properly maybe a Mafia 2 could work.. its always a bit of a gamble with sequels to successful games. |
