| I was wondering today about how much people's perceptions of stoners and smoking weed have cahanged quite a bit. Back in the day being called a stonor would have the negative connotation of say.. crack head ( No offense to crackhead TAs, we love ya!), but now alomst everyone does it sometimes. I go to party's and a bong has become almost as essential as booze. Whadya guys think? Is ganja more acceptable now, unoffically of course, :D |

the CORe is mainly us based, you posted at 4:30 am my time...eastern time thats like 7:30. No one is awake then.
:wtf:
and what you are noticing is the fact that you are hanging out with more stoners, and not that it is being more accepted. It has always been around a lot and always will be.
as far as teh linguistical use of the word stoner, i think it is losing some of its negative conotation and becoming more like the african american experience of the word "N***ER". while at first it was meant as a derogatory word, it has been taken back by them and turned around from a negative word. |
