My intentions of posting this site was to give people an opportunity to check out a fun and new thing to do....I guess there is no room for change in peoples minds from what i see here....I dont expect everyone to like what i have to share with them but give me a break and at least a little common courtesy...All i was trying to do was help out a friend....and i get flamed for it.....this is the reason why i stopped posting on TA .....maybe i should quit for good because the only thing that TA is nowadays is a warzone...
one more thing......danceclubcam.com is nothing like TA and this isnt intended as a detourant from TA ............it can only be an addition to the normal things that a person does when he or she is online.....but take it the way you like |

i mean i ain't got nothing against you elevation or any of the other young producers around here...but i don't like when you just come and post because you are trying to get an audience for yourself or for someone else. there is a way to do things that is tasteful and most of the time you guys cross that line into blatant spam...
i mean if you had posted something more like...
"hey guys, my friend has started up this site about cameras in clubs and its pretty damn cool, you should check it out"
i think that would've been a lot more appealing and give us all the impression that you actually like the site and wanted to share it with us rather then just "following orders" |

i'm really just trying to help you guys out. i mean, there is nothing wrong with being proud of what you do and wanting to succeed. i just think there are better ways to do it then starting threads dedicated to yourselves. we see TA as a place to enjoy and talk about music with other people that share a similar interest and you guys see it as a place to promote and gain recognition and its that fundamental difference that is the problem. if you guys kept all the positioning and publicity behind the scenes and just came here to be apart of the community, you would never have these problems.
and i bet that what i'm saying is just going completely ignored so i'll probably stop wasting my time. |

and yet i see feature articles about yourself on the front page of the site. so please don't tell me you don't have some sort of vested interest in this.
alright, well i'm just gonna be as frank as possible. i think all of the young and upcoming producers are pretty arrogant and once tasting the smallest touch of fame either here on TA or just in general with releases of tracks, its completely gone to people's heads. i know you all think that you're the future of dance music and perhaps you are, but i really don't see that happening until most of you grow up a little more because its the fact that you're all so young and full of yourselves that you do the things you do on here. fame is not going to come from a collective little squad of upcoming producers that patrol message boards and give each other radio spots and contacts to very average record labels, fame is going to come from the quality of work. until you guys realize that none of you will grow above average producers and dj's in the industry...sorry, but its the truth. |

He has no vested intrest in the site. This site started here in Detroit. Elevation is a very accomplished and well respected producer around here. It was only fitting that Danceclubcam launch the site with a article about him...

i'm not hostile at all. i'm saying this, sitting here, in perfect comfort. i'm not angry. i just think that most of the young producers on TA could benefit from a little honesty because too often people are a little too protective and hide their true feelings because they are too concerned with winning approval and a contact into the industry. since i'm not looking for either of those things from TA, i feel like i can be honest and that they should here it. |
