dont know if anyone else feels the same but ive had enough of this to be honest seems like 50% of hard trance releases coming out are remixes of classics and just having heard gouryella - gouryella has fallen into this group as long as others this yr such as diving faces, veracocha, sandstorm, liberation, and the one know one can leave alone binary finary 1999 plus others just seems like its gone too far now and things should be left as they are should start coming up with new material and stop ripping off other artists work
not too bad when its amatuer work and its not goin out to be made money off but its about time this stopped, they must be running short of tracks to do!
My two cents! |

i dunno, it always gives me a good laugh when i hear a remix of some soft trance song in a hardcore/hardstyle set.
"Embrace me, surround me as the YOU MFING COCKASSSSSSSSSS comes..." |

I disagree. Harder/tougher interpretations of classic euphoric tracks add variety to the track. Sadly, only a handful of mixes do justice to the original.
Some of the hard trance/hard style remixes that I love:
Yoji's remix of Ligaya
Lee Haslan and Digital Blonde Mixes of Gamemaster
The harder remixes released this year are rather dissapointing. |

| I don't see any problems with it, why should a track be suddenly worser when a harder beat/kick is added to it? |

| nothing is wronger with a harder version of a track...the problem is that it usually turns out to be a disaster... |

tbh.. as a raver... ive heard numerous happy hardcore / freeform remixes of classic trance tracks.. and in all honesty more often than not, they are bang on. the main elements are usually retained.. theyre just genrally a touch faster.
most recently there is dark monks - insane [recon mix]. this tune is in banging as hell. but its pretty much 100% the same as the murano mix. also check system f - cry [recon mix].
with regards to hard trance / hardstyle remixes of tracks... usually theyre a little less graceful. but on odd occaisions a better job is made of them.. i.e ligaya.. all the trance mixes were piss poor. yoji's take on it breathed new life into it, and also boasted a new sound that i dont recall hearing in any other track i think the walt mix was a little uncalled for tho :p |

Tracks like:
Steve Hill & Technical - Adagio For Strings (Steve Hill & Technikal Remix)
Masif DJ's-Silence (Technikal Remix)
d10-binary_harder__part_1
are good remixes. But I would rather hear NEW hardtrance tunes o.c... |
