The old marketing thing is a bandwagon.
Someone found out Tiesto asked his fans to vote for him and then some dweeb came to the conclusion that any dj that becomes big or plays to atleast 50 people has a office block of marketing people.
The Dweeb a got all his dweeb friends to join in, rather like Electro House. |

how did he build a name for himself? by making his management/getting on popular radio shows/playing pop trance and milking trance for all it was worth, as did the other big dj's at the time.
do you even know what the word marketing means? do you have any idea how the industry works? |

i think i'd rather be a very well respected dj and producer. someone that garners the respect of the other dj's out there and from the fans as a phenomenal performer.
i mean i bet its very hard to find someone in the industry that wouldn't respect like an oliver lieb...or an orbital...or someone like that.
and i bet its hard to find someone that doesn't respect the skillz of a dj like zabiela.
i'm sure lots of people don't look at tiesto and armin and others and think "wow they're a great dj" and i'm sure producers can have the same reputation... |

No he built his rep in the late 80's/early 90's on then pirte radio station Kiss. when he launched his wifes project Angelic around 2000 thats when he started slowly whoring himself.
Find his set from Porstmouth University in 2000 i dont see the latest bandwagon tracks on there. |

| as far as jules is concerned....i definitely think he used to be a very class dj. he used to throw down great. i just think that his tune selection has gone down and i don't enjoy that. i still respect him though...i mean kinda like tong...if you say you don't respect pete tong you're just an idiot... |

You say this as if Tiesto burst onto the scene in 2001. Like him or not, he didn't play trance "hits" in the mid 90s. Saying "he always sucked" is a bit rash. |

jules was djing for a long time before 2001 hes was even into djing before trance really existed so its not true what uve said about his choice of music.
and ur still not talking any sense to me
If jules was how the hell could u market that to an audience even if he was in the right time at the right place like u said he wouldnt wow people by playing rubbish music.
You can only market someone and put them infront of a audience if they have talent and jules had plenty of it people liked him and he made it just a shame he doesnt use any of that talent anymore |
