Santana/Freeland at Amp REVIEW & PICS

Last night was a total blast. Santana was on for just over an hour before Freeland went on. I'm sure he'll post his tracklist. Trance, then some breaks in the end for Freeland to come in with...and man Freeland's set was some hardcore breaks, it was very hard to get into. To me, it seemed undanceable, although he played a few good tracks. He played a couple remixes of Nirvana songs like Smells Like Teen Spirit and Lithium. The rest I didnt recognize, and dont remember really..all crazy breaks. But then he closes with Mr. Brightside (thin white duke remix)!!!!! It was done a tad differently, we all went nuts. This track really made the night for us. We heard that first chord, and all looked at eachother with such amaze.
Santana your set as always was amazing, the crowd loves you and it shows. I always have the best time with you guys, Santana, Amber, Terry, Dustin, Toni, Carlos, Traci ( you're a trooper i know u hate "techno" LOL, but I know you still had fun ;) You know that Toni and I will always be there for you), Matt, Max, Paul the pimp, Doug, Brian and Suzy (i love that your hair is pink again..hot!!)

I Think i smell a TA in the making last night. Traci was having a blast. Was good seeing everyone again. Santana had an awesome set as always. I did notice that the lighting at amp has gotten better since the last few times we have been there. maybe its just the pics.... Wanted to post before someone else beat me to it!!!

I had a blast saturday night. Thanks for everyone who arrived early (Colleen, Toni, Amber, Terry, Matt, Carlos, Dustin, Missy, Suzy, Brian, Traci, Sammy, BIG John Jackson, Tony D) the dance floor was ready to go by midnight. I came on about 12:30ish. Here's a list of what i played:

| Damn Paul you tore the roof off of the Amp Sat night!!!! :eyes: :eyes: :eyes: I enjoyed every single tune you played!!! As a result I was drenched from dancing non-stop throughout your awesome set!!! The opening track rocked don't think I've heard that one before!!! I only wished you could've played after Freeland cuz I couldn't dance to his stuff after your set. Yeah, you just can't go from high energy Trance to progressive breaks. Therefore I left the club early, which is unprecedented. Looking forward to seeing you, Suzy, and Ferry on the same night!!! :D |
