You know who we need to get here. Armin van Buuren. I was listening to some state of trances, and it's absolutely incredible.
Thought if i started some interest here, someone could pull a couple of strings and we could get him over to TX.

btw, speaking of his ASOT, does anybody know of any way to record the streaming audio that he does (or anyone for that matter) into mp3 form or something?

take care,
JB

I saw Markus in Miami, he played after Armin van Buuren at Spin. Both played great sets...but I have to say Markus did a better job with mixing and sound level control (sound was distorting like crazy during Armin's set while Markus's was crystal clear.
On that note, I will stress again to locals and headliners...KEEP THE VOLUNE OUTTA THE RED. If it aint loud enough when the volume is barely bubbling in the reds, the amps aren't turned up enough.

Thanks :)
I believe that was when I opened for Kimball Collins at 2401. By far my favorite gig I ever played in Houston. Would really like to get to do that again sometime. Hopefully Sean C likes my new mix. (which will be on the website for download, among 5 other new ones, once my bro gets home next month)

I think there was a similar thread about this topic. Apparently it takes too much money to bring Armin over here.

well i wonder how much he charged last time? any profit; cause the club was kind of small, but it was rather packed if my memory serves me right.

I'll still say that the Armin show last year was the best one I've been to so far...although PVD is always good too and G&D in Austin was awesome...

so what's the problem with getting some of these guys over here in houston more? is it the minimal amount of interest in the city? or is it just a budget issue?

well i dont know bout you guys, but one thing i will say about armin's next visit here.

I want Armin Van Buuren to spin at HUSH! Yes, Club ing HUSH!! You people know how sickening that would be? You might as well cvall it Ibiza, Texas when that happens, because it wont get any better than that. And about the budget thing, yea I think club HUSH could afford Armin anyday. With 30+ flat screen TV's, and 3 floors of dancing, you cant tell me that these two cats from Vegas that own HUSH cant afford Armin. WE NEED TO PROMOTE THIS , STARTING NOW!!

I will email Club HUSH, call them, and attempt to have a talk with the event organizers. I WILL see Armin at HUSH!! I WILL!!!
