Ron Artest, greatest man alive

"The Pistons were still shaking their heads at what happened Thursday night as they were on their bus inside the loading-dock area of Conseco Fieldhouse.

It was between 11:30 and midnight and the Pistons' bus was about to leave the arena for the airport.

Suddenly, a dark Escalade roared into the loading dock, nearly hitting several people.

Out jumped Ron Artest, the Pacers forward who got a seasonlong suspension for his part in the Nov. 19 brawl.

According to Pistons players on the bus, Artest was wearing an old (and short) pair of shorts. He had no shoes on and, upon getting out of the vehicle, he tore off his T-shirt.

Given the history between Artest and the Pistons, the team's security officials were on high alert. But Artest made no motion toward the bus. He simply walked, bare-chested and bare-footed, into the building, presumably for a midnight workout.

"There's something going on there," Ben Wallace said, not wanting to comment further. "

:wtf: .. that's all i have to say .. he shouldn't put the blame on the pistons players, but those dumb drunk asses that threw the beers .. i say he raids the county jail and beats all those guys senseless .. :wtf: .. could have been a better matchup if artest was there to help indiana ..

Weird thing is he was never like this at st. Johns...i mean is it kind of a marketing ploy like rodman to get his name out there.Love players that are passionate but man he toes the line of knucklehead as well.
verndogs
I remember when he was a HS legend in the NYC catholic basektball league...he singlehandedly destroyed teams (Went to La Salle HS in Manhattan)

but he wasn't psycho back then (or maybe I didn't hear any stories about him)...he was just known as a legend

Artest is one of the funniest dudes Ive met! In the Big East Tournament when I was little and he was at St Johns I saw him and asked him for his auto. I had a Syracuse jersey on and he was giving me all this about wearing it and was like Im gonna play you after the game up to 11 bla bla bla it was crazy. I remember leaving without the auto cuz he forgot and saying to myself what the just happened.:wtf: :haha:

i think i believe SlackerBoy ...

it is either a marketing ploy, or something must have happened to him when he was in chicago with elton brand and brad miller ..

i still respect his basketball abilities on the court, and how much of a defensive he brings every night .. at least he brings it all 100% every night, unlike some athletes ..

well to tell you the truth, if he wasn't suspended for the year, larry hughes wouldn't have made the all-defensive team .. hahhahaha .. kidding .. he deserved the recognition with the amount of steals he had ..

If anybody has a right to go crazy it should be Elton Brand...yeah he is makiing a decent amount of money...but damn he went from being on a bad team to being on an even worse one. if i were Philly i would try and unload Webbers contract on the Clips to get this guy over there.Iverson needs a dirty work player and Elton is that guy...all he does is block shots and grab rebounds and give you around 15 points a night

Ron Artest is clearly not himself, I remember durring the regular season when he asked the coach for a couple of days, And for what?, To concentrate on his artist album. Wtf kind of player he is?, Basketball should be his first priority, Not his so called hiphop career.

this guy is exactly what the nba doesnt need...guys like him and danny forston (whoever watched the spurs series knows what im talking about)... guys that bring the league a bad image with their hard and dirty fouls and ugly episodes...

as far as artest goes, he's a huge talent thrown to waste...wtf was he thinking by asking for days off to record an album like mentioned above...
instead of focusing on becoming one of the bests in the league, he focuses on how he's gonna earn his next suspension...
