yes frat parties are largely overrated - and yes i try to go to Motor as much as possible, but at MSU they have quality(these kids have talent) prog house/trance djs spinning at the FRAT PARTIES! its very bizarre, but very tight at the same time. honestly, a great place to be would be the University of Colorado, but I grew up there, so I kinda need to be somewhere else. Raves and whatever else you could want - and its sunny, damn i miss the sun :( haha. peace.

WHAT?????? DJ's spinning house and trance at frat parties?? FRAT PARTIES???????? Oh my god that is utterly rediculous. Oh my god that would be utterly awesome. Who woulda thought that frat guys would have decent tastes in music? I am a frat guy by the way but if we tried that here the dance floor would clear out in about 3 seconds.

Uhng?! I just cant picture anything of that sort happenning @ frat parties. Mabye its just my stereotypic views. Thinking back 2-3 yrs ago, I was almost convinced into pledging for one. But I wouldve eventually given up my loyalty to become the happy go-lucky individual I am today:). If not, I'd be devoted to beer beer beer (yeck..), male bonding, scr3wing anything on two (or more..) legs since Im too hammered to notice almost 24/7 =P. Sorry about being so harsh guys. Yeah, most fraternities arent actually (?) like that. Though I totally agree w/ occrider.

Yes I would have to say that whatever house that is up in Lansing would be the complete exception. It was GOING OFF! and everyone was into it. I have seen so many frat parties die cause of a dj playing this type of music, so it may be those people that come to it that keep it alive. Honestly tho, some of those kids spinning were throwing the best sets I have EVER danced to. So much energy. It was more house, cause trance confuses frat party people when everything slows down - how do they keep humping with no bass?!?! but whatever it always keeps me looking forward to MSU. peace.

Man I am in such the wrong school. We usually go through the standard rotation of Brittany Spears, Christina Aguilera, Aqua, Vengaboys, Eminem, etc. You know, find the most commercial ever and play that song at every party. I'm sorry but even hearing a 'Time to Burn' at one of the parties around here would be a blessing. |

I know this topic is kind of old, but it fits into this category well. About a month ago, a frat here on campus (U of Wisc - Madison) flew in Mr. Paul Oakenfold to spin at their house party. Kind of scary huh?
